Two of our three children were born in Switzerland, a truly profound experience. The care and attention we received was unparalleled!
Though I was raised on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, I’ve been privileged to live, work and reside in Switzerland and all regions of Alberta. This diverse experience has enhanced my understanding of the childbirth and doula culture in Europe, as well as Western Canada.
I began working as a Birth and Postpartum doula in 2006. I am a wife, a mother to 3 children and 3 angel babies, and have been a foster mom to 5 children under five. I am wholeheartedly dedicated to families with an extended focus on building healthy communities.
Our family is settled on a second generation cattle and hay farm Northwest of Cochrane and my support is available to families in Cochrane, Calgary, Airdrie, Rocky View + Mountain View County.
I teach prenatal classes, attend births, offer in-home breastfeeding consultations, and provide postpartum care—including overnight support for families with both singletons and multiples. I firmly believe every family deserves evidence-based, wraparound support.
As a longstanding childbirth advocate and educator I volunteer with the Doula Association of Alberta and Alberta Breastfeeding Committee.
When Erin is not working, she enjoys travelling, reading and spending time with her family on their farm.

Chavah Childbirth Services Inc. (CCS) was established in 2006. Through the years our services have been adapted to support the growing demand for support and the modern-day transition to parenthood.
The name Chavah represents the experience of life and is often defined as "to live, to declare and to show". With a strong history supporting maternal and infant health in capacities that embrace, nurture and teach families the name was an obvious fit!
