We provide personalized care in the comfort of your own home, or immediately following birth in the hospital. You deserve to have the best possible care, in the environment that suits you best.
Initial Breastfeeding Consultation
Location: Home or Hospital
Initial breastfeeding support consultations are perfect for mothers experiencing pain, concerns about supply and challenges with baby's latch and milk transfer or growth.
During an initial breastfeeding consultation (2-3 hours) our lactation specialist will:
Review your medical history, including the birth and current feeding practices
Communicate evidence-based guidelines for breastfeeding success
Observe and evaluate breastfeeding
Educate on breastfeeding positions that encourage a successful latch
Suggest breastfeeding techniques to ensure baby is receiving enough milk
Assist with troubleshooting if you are experiencing engorgement, sore nipples, etc.
Create an action plan that works for you, your baby and family
Provide answers to questions or concerns you or your partner may have
Provide 1 postpartum follow-up visit, as needed
Follow-Up Appointments (home)
